Ami was born in Bangkok to an Air Force family and grew up traveling mostly on East coast/overseas. Born deaf in an all-hearing Catholic family, she struggled to communicate and connect with others. It wasn’t until college that she found the Deaf world and her identity.

Growing up, her life experiences led her to her calling: helping people transform their lives. Ami got her start in the mental health profession, where she worked as a counselor before transitioning into victim services.

While working in victim services emphasizing trauma-informed work, Ami found Reiki—or rather, Reiki found Ami. Ami started studying Usui Reiki in 2013 and became Certified Reiki Master Teacher in 2014. She started practicing on the side while continuing to work full-time.

After 25 years of working in field of Mental Health, and Victim services, Ami left to begin her new chapter in the holistic field. She is excited about this next stage of her journey and invites you to join her in discovering the transformative power of Energy medicine.

In her free time, she resides in Colorado with her life partner, two teen Latina and Chinese daughters, a three-year-old dog, and a ten-year-old three-legged cat. Ami is proud of her culturally and linguistically diverse family and their commitment to bettering the world through their personal and professional lives.
